Hi, I'm Heather Fujawa. I've been a Registered Nurse since 2008, with most of my career spent in the Emergency Department. I started in a small rural hospital, and later  transferred to a large Level 1 trauma center. I have always loved teaching, and I began teaching BLS, PALS, and ACLS at my hospital. I love trauma nursing, and it was a natural choice to begin teaching TNCC and ENPC a couple of years later.

Early in 2022, I was hiking while on vacation, and I started having pain in my right hip. I thought that I had strained my hip, but the pain never went away. I finally went to the doctor and learned that I had advanced arthritis in my hips. In February of 2023, my arthritis became so painful that I couldn't be on my feet for a shift in the ED anymore, and I had to leave my position. To replace my income, I started teaching TNCC and ENPC online. I truly appreciate all of the nurses who have taken my classes because their support allows me to support my family.

A couple of my nurse friends who are also instructors work with me to provide a large selection of courses. Our courses are authorized and licensed by the Emergency Nurses Association. Our instructors maintain active instructor status with ENA, and our course director maintains active instructor and course director status.  We also maintain current RN licensure and stay informed of current trends in emergency and trauma nursing care.
